About RIDE

Réseau d’Initiative de Développement (RIDE - in English, Network of Development Initiatives or NDI) is a non-profit organization founded to design and / or collaborate with initiatives aimed to fight extreme poverty in Haiti deploying sustainable socio-economic development projects throughout the country. It is an institution created in June 2021 as a response to the serious social problems faced by the population due to political and social instability that have been worsening over the years. RIDE will set solid foundations in different areas of development, cultivating and promoting values such as solidarity, transparency, justice, tolerance, responsibility, honesty and respect.
RIDE interventions are aligned with the United Nations Development Goals, national and local development goals, as well as regional and international entities, respecting international human rights standards and guidelines, the guiding and ethical principles of humanitarian actions as well as quality management and transparency standards. RIDE will initiate and/or contribute to ongoing initiatives in education, healthcare, agriculture, technology, environment and climate, access to decent housing, electricity, gender equality, among others, according to the needs and priority of each area or community. The organization will work hand in hands with other organizations and community associations that are developing any sustainable development project throughout the country.

Our mission

Promote the integral and sustainable development of the country through exchange and cooperation with national and international organizations and associations in areas such as poverty, education, health and sanitation, electricity, environment, access to water, food, technology, human rights, and gender equality, among others.

Contribute to the protection, empowerment and development of women, youth, children and adolescents by facilitating access to technical training, entrepreneurship and the spirit of collaboration.

Collaborate and provide assistance in areas related to education, health, environment (including prevention/response to disasters and natural catastrophes), agricultural production, social inclusion, gender equality, empowerment and protection of vulnerable groups (women, children, adolescents, orphans and the disabled), sanitation and proper waste management, access to clean water, etc.

Conduct social research and rigorous studies to provide up-to-date data and information on key societal issues and other topics of interest for evidence-based decision making in our interventions and those of our partners.

Promote technical training for young people and entrepreneurship; contribute to the development of digital literacy and access to internet and information and knowledge; promote the implementation and use of information technology in institutions and organizations for greater efficiency in the production process.
